Trekking Highlights:
Experience the sub-tropical climate of bamboo forests to fresh white alpine snow in the high mountains. Embark on a non-technical climb over the famous Thorung La (17,599ft.), the highest trekking pass in the world, explore Muktinath temple, a Hindu and Buddhist’s pilgrimage site for centuries, and Jwala Mai Temple, where a flame of natural gas burns from a trickle of water. You will also trek along the Kali Gandaki river valley, the largest river valley in the world, in between the shadow of Dhaulagiri (26,794ft) and Annapurna I (26,545ft), Jomsom (the capital of the Mustang District and a famous village for apple farming), rich culture, religion and heritage of ethnic people like Mananges, Gurung, Thakali, Magar and Tibetan people. |
